International Petroleum Week 16-19 February 2009, London, UK

[23-Jan-2009] This prestigious annual event is held in London and organised by the Energy Institute (EI). IP Week (16th-19th February) is a well established 4-day programme featuring high profile events including conferences, seminars, exhibition and social functions designed to stimulate debate and promote networking about energy industry professionals. The key theme for IP Week 2009 will be the continued need for sustainable fossil fuel supplies and the efficiency of industry operations. Other challenges to be discussed are exploration, refining and the cost of alternative fuels. The event will also discuss how demand affects the oil and gas industry and what the economics of security of supply are.

Mandatory implementation of the Building Energy Codes

[18-Dec-2008] The Government has issued a consultation document, proposing the mandatory implementation of the Building Energy Codes. Through the consultation, the Government hope that the community will reach a consensus and support the proposal.  As an energy organisation in Hong Kong, the Energy Institute (Hong Kong Branch) would like to respond to this consultation document.  Members are encouraged to provide your views on this document and please send your views to the Chairman and the Secretary so that we will consolidate the views from members and the Institute and submit our responses to the Government before 28 January 2009."
